Inside this cabinet
Project Blacksmith turns the workshop into the crafting interface. The player physically carries a workpiece between the furnace, anvil, quench, grindstone, assembly bench, order board, and sale station instead of crafting through a detached menu.
Forging is simulation-driven and free-form. Heat, strike strength, hammer angle, hit position, cold working, and overworking change the procedural blade profile, while a translucent target ghost makes the intended shape readable. A finished piece can be reheated and reworked at the cost of its hardened edge and fittings.
The playable first vertical slice completes the loop from ore selection and smelting through forging, quenching, grinding, assembly, and customer evaluation. It currently includes bronze, iron, and steel plus sword, spear, and axe blueprints; no public demo or release build is connected yet.
